This powerful, all-purpose camera incorporates the 8K resolution, crisp global shutter, optimal low-light performance, and high frame rate functions in a production-ready, all-in-one XL camera body with a V-mount battery system.
RED Global Vision
- With the V-RAPTOR XL [X] 8K VV, RED has introduced its Global Vision suite of tools that uses the global shutter sensor to offer even greater flexibility and ease of use throughout your production process.
- These tools include Extended Highlights for increasing detail, producing finer HDR finishes or softer, more subtle highlight roll-offs when using SDR.
Phantom Track
The Phantom Track function streamlines any virtual production workflow using GhostFrame or frame remapping, capturing distinct R3D clips for each subframe slice in addition to enabling monitoring of either slice live on set over each SDI output. This enables your director and talent to work with the aid of a greenscreen background while the VF/X team can simultaneously view the frame without having to view or lock in that background. Phantom Track can also be used when applying dedicated ad overlays during a live broadcast.
Dual-Voltage Battery Support
An integrated V-mount battery plate with multiple auxiliary power outputs supports both high-voltage 26V batteries and standard 12V batteries.
Internal ND Filters
Motorized clear and 2 to 7-stop ND filters with 1/4, 1/3, and 1-stop increments provide precision exposure control.
Auxiliary Power Outputs
Multiple 12 and 24V outputs provide auxiliary power for accessories and peripherals, all in a centralized location.
Viewing Options Include RED Touch 7.0"
